I was on maternity leave with my second child when my work organisation went through a huge restructure, leading to me take redundancy. I decided I needed a career change that would not only be fulfilling, but would work around my young family.
I was already doing Pilates myself after having ongoing back pain and found it really helpful. Despite having no background working in the fitness industry, only a love of keeping fit myself, I decided to take the plunge and train as a Pilates Instructor to help others feel similar benefits and I qualified in 2019.
From the start I have felt strongly about making the exercises I teach feel accessible and this comes from my background (I have a degree in Youth and Community work and worked in Local Authority for many years). I have always felt passionate about helping people feel empowered and I believe in creating an environment where you feel supported and part of a welcoming community. From this, you will build strength at the pace that's right for you. As a qualified Mindfulness Teacher I offer a calm space for you to come back to yourself and finish my sessions with a short meditation.
